Day by Day Itinerary
Your 2 Days Tanzania Safari – Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha at around 7:00 AM.
You will drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2–3 hours), known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.
Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive where you may spot:
- Elephants in large family groups
- Lions, leopards, and cheetahs
- Giraffes, zebras, wildebeests
- Various bird species
At midday, enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park overlooking the Tarangire River.
In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and drive to the Karatu area for dinner and overnight stay at a lodge or camp near the Ngorongoro highlands.
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino) in a single day. The crater floor is home to a dense population of wildlife, including:
- Black rhinos (rare and protected)
- Lions and hyenas
- Hippos and flamingos
- Large herds of grazing animals
You will enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool inside the crater.
In the early afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
