Your safari representative can confirm the next day's departure arrangements for your private Ndutu calving safari.

Evening: Rest Before Your Private Tanzania Safari

Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation in Arusha. Prepare for the journey toward the Ndutu area, where your private safari guide will focus on seasonal wildlife viewing during the wildebeest calving period.

Morning: Private Transfer to Ndutu

After breakfast, depart Arusha in your private safari vehicle with a professional private safari guide. Travel toward the Ndutu area in the southern Serengeti ecosystem, an important location for wildebeest calving during the seasonal migration. The journey takes several hours, and your guide will explain the wildlife patterns and seasonal conditions associated with this private Tanzania safari.

Afternoon: Begin Your Private Ndutu Calving Game Drive

Depending on arrival time and road conditions, begin your private Ndutu safari with game drives across open grasslands and seasonal wildlife areas. During the calving season, large wildebeest herds gather in the region, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas. Your private safari guide will follow current wildlife activity and identify suitable locations for viewing and photography.

Evening: Overnight Near Ndutu

Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in the Ndutu area. Enjoy dinner and discuss the next day's private wildlife safari with your guide. The timing of calving and predator activity varies naturally, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Morning: Early Private Ndutu Game Drive

Begin with an early private game drive when wildlife may be active. Explore the Ndutu plains with your private safari guide, looking for wildebeest herds, newborn calves, zebras and gazelles. During the main calving season, the area can also attract predators, offering opportunities to observe natural wildlife behaviour without disturbing the animals.

Afternoon: Private Wildlife Viewing Across Ndutu

Continue your private Ndutu calving safari across the grasslands and seasonal water areas. Your private safari guide will use recent sightings and current conditions to select suitable routes. Look for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and other wildlife while learning about the Great Migration and the importance of the calving season in the southern Serengeti ecosystem.

Evening: Relax at Your Ndutu Safari Camp

Return to your accommodation for dinner and rest. Your private Tanzania safari provides another opportunity to explore Ndutu's seasonal wildlife habitat, with game drives planned around the day's sightings and the available time.

Morning: Final Private Ndutu Wildlife Game Drive

Enjoy a final private game drive in the Ndutu area. Search for wildebeest herds, calves, zebras, gazelles and predators with your private safari guide. The calving season is usually strongest around January to March, although the exact timing depends on rainfall and natural herd movements.

After your scheduled Ndutu game drive, begin the return journey to Arusha by private safari vehicle. The transfer takes several hours and depends on road conditions and the location of your accommodation. Your guide will arrange appropriate breaks along the way.
