Your safari begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to the Central Serengeti, specifically the Seronera area, covering approximately 260 kilometres. The journey typically takes around 5 to 6 hours depending on road conditions and wildlife stops along the way. This route introduces you to the vast Serengeti ecosystem and its diverse habitats.
Seronera is the Serengeti’s wildlife heartland, offering a mix of open plains, riverine forests, and kopjes. This afternoon, enjoy a game drive focusing on spotting resident wildlife like lions, leopards, elephants, and a variety of plains game. The region’s reliable water sources attract a rich concentration of animals, providing excellent game-viewing opportunities during the 2 to 3-hour drive.
This first day sets a relaxed yet engaging pace, ideal for settling into safari life and allowing your family to experience the Serengeti’s iconic wildlife in a private setting. The afternoon game drive is tailored to suit all ages, with plenty of chances for wildlife viewing and photography.
After your game drive, you will return to your accommodation within the Central Serengeti, where you can unwind and prepare for the next day’s journey westward into the migration corridor.
