The day begins with the climb up the famous Barranco Wall, one of the most memorable sections of the Lemosho Route. Take your time, follow your guide's instructions and enjoy the views as you gain height. 

From the top, the mountain opens into a series of ridges and valleys, with striking views of the surrounding landscape. The trail then continues through a succession of ascents and descents before reaching Karanga Camp. This shorter trekking stage helps you conserve energy while continuing your acclimatization. After breakfast, you leave Karanga Camp and continue towards Barafu Camp, the final base camp before the summit attempt. Summit day is the most challenging and rewarding part of your private Kilimanjaro climb. The cold, darkness and high altitude make this a demanding section, so you move slowly and focus on one step at a time. After breakfast in Arusha, you leave for Ndutu to begin the safari portion of your 11-day Tanzania adventure. The journey takes you towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the southern Serengeti ecosystem, where the open plains become an important gathering area for wildebeest and zebras during the calving season. Depending on road conditions, the route and wildlife activity, the transfer can take several hours. Your driver-guide shares information about the ecosystem, seasonal movements of the herds and the wildlife you may encounter. 

As you approach Ndutu, the landscape opens into grasslands, scattered acacia trees and seasonal lakes. Depending on your arrival time, there may be an opportunity for wildlife viewing before continuing to your accommodation. During the calving season, the plains can host large numbers of wildebeest, including newborn calves, with predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas moving through the area. The day may also bring sightings of elephants, giraffes, gazelles, ostriches and other species, depending on location and conditions.
