Your 10-day private Kilimanjaro climbing and Ndutu migration safari begins in Moshi with a transfer to Marangu Gate. After completing park registration and preparing your equipment, we enter Kilimanjaro National Park and start the first trekking stage of your private Marangu Route Kilimanjaro climb. The trail leads through lush tropical rainforest, beneath tall trees and dense vegetation, where the forest atmosphere offers a peaceful introduction to the mountain.
We climb gradually, maintaining a comfortable pace and allowing time to appreciate the surroundings as we gain altitude. The rainforest is rich in plant life, and birds can often be heard in the canopy. As we continue uphill, the trail becomes a little steeper in places, with tree roots and damp ground requiring careful footing. Our mountain team helps maintain a steady rhythm and encourages regular hydration throughout this first day of your Mount Kilimanjaro climbing tour from Moshi.
After approximately four to five hours, we reach Mandara Hut at around 2,700 metres. Settle into camp, enjoy a freshly prepared meal and rest before continuing higher on the Marangu Route the next day.
