Breakfast & Departure
After breakfast, we leave Karatu and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti. The journey to Central Serengeti takes approximately 4–5 hours, excluding wildlife, photography, meal and comfort stops.

Ngorongoro Highlands
We travel through the highlands before descending toward the Serengeti plains. The changing landscape provides a natural transition from the crater highlands to the open savannah.

Central Serengeti Game Drive
As we enter Central Serengeti, we begin our game drive around the Seronera area. We look for lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other resident wildlife while our guide monitors information about the migration further north.

Breakfast & Morning Game Drive
After breakfast, we begin with a morning game drive in Central Serengeti before continuing north. The journey toward Northern Serengeti generally takes around 4–5 hours of driving, but the actual duration can increase because this is also a wildlife-viewing route.

Following the Migration
We look for signs of wildebeest and zebra movement as we travel north. Rather than following a fixed migration map, our guide uses current field conditions and recent sightings to decide where to spend time.

Northern Serengeti Arrival
We reach the Northern Serengeti and begin monitoring the areas around Kogatende and the Mara River. If the herds are nearby, we identify suitable viewing areas while keeping expectations realistic about crossing activity.

Breakfast & Early Game Drive
After breakfast, we leave early for a full-day Northern Serengeti Great Migration safari. Our guide checks current herd locations and recent field observations before selecting the day's route.

Mara River Area
If wildebeest are gathering near the Mara River, we spend time at suitable viewing areas where a crossing may potentially develop. The animals may wait for hours, cross unexpectedly, move to another section or decide not to cross at all.

Private & Responsible Viewing
Because the vehicle is private, you can remain longer at an interesting sighting without a group timetable. Our guide maintains a responsible distance and avoids positioning the vehicle where it could interfere with wildlife movement or a potential crossing.

Breakfast & Migration Tracking
After breakfast, we continue exploring Northern Serengeti based on the latest information from our guide. The route may return toward the Mara River or move into another wildlife-rich area depending on where the herds have travelled.

Wildebeest & Zebra
We spend time observing the migration and the large concentrations of herbivores that may be present in August. The focus is not only on a possible crossing but on understanding and following the natural movement of the animals.

Predator & Wildlife Viewing
Where conditions allow, we also search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, giraffes and other resident wildlife. We can adjust the pace for photography and longer sightings because the safari is private.

Breakfast & Departure
After breakfast, we leave Northern Serengeti and begin the return journey south toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive can take approximately 5–6 hours depending on the route and road conditions, excluding wildlife and comfort stops.

Wildlife Viewing En Route
We continue using the route as a game-viewing opportunity where practical. Our guide may stop when wildlife is worth observing before continuing toward Ngorongoro.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Depending on the day's timing and park arrangements, we descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater offers a different wildlife environment from the Serengeti plains, with opportunities to see lions, buffalo, elephants, zebra, wildebeest and hippos.

Breakfast & Departure
After breakfast, we leave Karatu for Arusha, with the drive taking approximately 3–3.5 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. The driving time excludes comfort and meal stops.

Arusha Airport & Flight to Zanzibar
Continue to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Flight timing depends on the available domestic schedule and is arranged around your safari itinerary.

Zanzibar Arrival
On arrival in Zanzibar, meet your arranged transfer and continue to your beach accommodation. The transfer duration depends on the location of your selected beach hotel.
