5 Days August Tanzania Private Safari for Couples | Serengeti & Ngorongoro

Breakfast & Northbound Departure
After breakfast, we leave Central Serengeti and travel toward the Northern Serengeti, the key area for this August Serengeti safari. The transfer is approximately 120–150 km and around 3–4 hours of direct driving, excluding game viewing, comfort stops and road-condition delays.

Northern Serengeti Wildlife
As we approach the north, the landscape changes and wildlife viewing continues along the route. August is part of the dry season and can provide good conditions for following the migrating herds, although their exact position changes naturally.

Migration Tracking
Our guide monitors fresh field information and herd movement before selecting suitable viewing areas near the Mara River. For a Mara River safari, we remain patient and position the vehicle responsibly without crowding wildlife, blocking crossing routes or assuming that a crossing will happen on a particular day. Early Breakfast & Game Drive
After an early breakfast, we head out for a full-day Northern Serengeti Great Migration game drive. With a private vehicle, we can adjust departure and return times according to current herd movement and your preferred pace.

Mara River Area
Our guide checks current conditions and selects appropriate viewing areas around the Mara River. Wildebeest may gather near the river, cross at different points, remain on the banks or move elsewhere, so a Mara River crossing remains a possibility rather than a guaranteed event.

Patient Wildlife Viewing
We allow enough time for observation rather than rushing between locations. Breakfast & Departure
After breakfast, we leave Northern Serengeti and begin the journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The direct journey is approximately 200–220 km and around 5–6 hours of driving, excluding game viewing, meal and comfort stops, with actual timing depending on road and weather conditions.

Wildlife En Route
We continue through the Serengeti while keeping opportunities for wildlife viewing along the route. Because this is a private safari, your guide can balance the transfer with appropriate stops without turning the journey into an unnecessarily rushed drive.

Ngorongoro Highlands
We continue toward the Ngorongoro highlands and arrive in the crater area later in the day. The change from the open Serengeti plains to the highland environment provides a different setting before tomorrow's crater game drive.

Breakfast & Crater Descent
After an early breakfast, we descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The crater offers opportunities to see wildlife in a compact natural environment, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos and large numbers of grazing animals.

Crater Wildlife Viewing
We spend several hours exploring the crater floor with your private guide, allowing time for photography and wildlife observation. Game-drive duration depends on wildlife activity and your preferred pace.

Lunch & Ascent
After the crater experience, we ascend and continue toward Arusha. The drive from the Ngorongoro area to Arusha is approximately 190 km and around 3.5–4.5 hours of direct driving, excluding lunch, comfort stops, traffic and weather-related delays.

Arrival in Arusha
We arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your 5-day August 2027 Tanzania private safari for couples after exploring the Serengeti wildebeest migration and Ngorongoro.
