6 Days August Serengeti Migration Safari | Central to Northern Serengeti

Breakfast & Northbound Departure
After breakfast, we leave Central Serengeti and begin travelling north toward the migration zone. The transfer is approximately 120–150 km and 3–4 hours of direct driving, excluding game viewing, comfort stops and road-condition delays.

Wildlife Along the Route
The journey north is also a game-viewing opportunity, so our guide can stop when wildlife activity makes it worthwhile. We continue toward the northern sectors while monitoring fresh information about herd movement.

Northern Serengeti Arrival
By afternoon, we reach the Northern Serengeti and begin exploring the surrounding plains. Our guide assesses where wildebeest and zebra are currently concentrated and selects suitable areas for the following days.

Early Breakfast & Departure
After an early breakfast, we leave camp for a full-day Northern Serengeti Great Migration game drive. With a private vehicle, we can adapt the day's timing according to herd movement and wildlife activity.

Mara River Search
Our guide monitors current conditions and takes you toward suitable areas near the Mara River. Wildebeest may gather along the banks, hesitate, move away or cross at another location, so we never promise a crossing at a particular time or place.

Responsible River Viewing
If herds begin showing behaviour associated with a possible crossing, we position the vehicle carefully and maintain appropriate space. We do not crowd animals, block crossing routes or pressure wildlife for a closer view; our approach follows the principles explained in our Mara River migration safety and responsible viewing guide.

Breakfast & Morning Game Drive
After breakfast, we set out again for a full day in the Northern Serengeti. Spending another full day in the area gives us time to respond to changing herd movement instead of relying on a fixed migration schedule.

Migration Tracking
Our guide uses local field knowledge and current observations to determine whether to remain near the Mara River or explore another promising section of Northern Serengeti. The location of the herds can change considerably with rainfall, grazing and water conditions.

Wildlife & Photography Stops
We allow sufficient time for wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, elephants and predators that may be active in the area. Our private setup means you can spend more time at worthwhile sightings without following a shared vehicle schedule.

Breakfast & Morning Game Drive
After breakfast, we begin the journey south from Northern Serengeti toward Central Serengeti. Rather than treating the transfer as a simple drive, our guide continues with wildlife viewing whenever conditions and time allow.

Southbound Migration Route
The journey is approximately 120–150 km and 3–4 hours of direct driving, excluding game viewing, meal and comfort stops. As we move south, we continue observing areas where migrating herds or resident wildlife may be present.

Central Serengeti Afternoon Drive
We arrive around Seronera and continue with an afternoon game drive. Central Serengeti is known for year-round wildlife, giving the final safari day a different focus from the migration-oriented northern experience.

Breakfast & Departure
After breakfast, we leave Central Serengeti and begin the return journey toward Arusha. The drive from Seronera toward Arusha is approximately 325–350 km and 7–8 hours of direct driving, excluding wildlife viewing, meal and comfort stops.

Ngorongoro Transit
We travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and continue toward the highlands. As this is a six-day migration-focused itinerary, Ngorongoro Crater is not included as a game-drive destination; the route uses the conservation area as part of the return journey.

Lunch & Continue to Arusha
After a suitable lunch and comfort stop, we continue toward Arusha. Actual arrival time depends on road conditions, weather, traffic and the duration of any wildlife or comfort stops along the route.

Arrival in Arusha
We arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening, concluding your August 2027 Serengeti migration safari from Central to Northern Serengeti.
