7 Days August Private Tanzania Safari for First-Time Visitors | Serengeti and Ngorongoro

Breakfast & Departure
After breakfast, we leave Karatu and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti. The journey to Central Serengeti is approximately 150–170 km and 4–5 hours of direct driving, excluding comfort stops, meals, park procedures and wildlife viewing.

Ngorongoro Highlands Transit
We continue across the highlands before descending toward the Serengeti plains. Your guide explains the changing landscapes and helps you understand how the different ecosystems connect.

Central Serengeti Game Drive
After entering Serengeti, we continue toward Seronera with an afternoon game drive. Central Serengeti is an important year-round wildlife area where you may encounter lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras and other species.

Breakfast & Northbound Departure
After breakfast, we leave Central Serengeti and begin travelling toward Northern Serengeti. The direct journey is approximately 120–150 km and 3–4 hours, excluding wildlife viewing, comfort stops and road-condition delays.

Wildlife Along the Route
The journey north is also part of the safari, so our guide continues looking for wildlife along the route. We monitor current herd movement and adjust the route when field conditions indicate that another area may offer better opportunities.

Northern Serengeti Arrival
We arrive in Northern Serengeti during the afternoon and begin exploring the surrounding area. August is within the dry season and is an important period for following the Serengeti wildebeest migration toward the northern plains and Mara River region.

Early Breakfast & Game Drive
After an early breakfast, we set out for a full-day August Serengeti safari. Spending a full day in Northern Serengeti gives us time to respond to current wildlife conditions rather than following a fixed schedule.

Mara River Search
Our guide monitors herd movement and identifies suitable viewing areas near the Mara River. Wildebeest may gather along the river, approach a crossing point, remain on the banks or move elsewhere, so a Mara River crossing cannot be guaranteed.

Responsible Wildlife Viewing
If herds begin moving toward a crossing point, we wait patiently and maintain a responsible distance. We do not crowd wildlife or position the vehicle in a way that blocks natural routes. Breakfast & Morning Game Drive
After breakfast, we begin a southbound journey from Northern Serengeti toward Central Serengeti. We start with a morning game drive, taking advantage of wildlife activity before continuing south.

Migration & Wildlife Viewing
As we travel, our guide continues monitoring the location of wildebeest and other wildlife. The direct journey is approximately 120–150 km and 3–4 hours, but the actual safari day takes longer because the timing excludes game viewing, photography, meals and comfort stops.

Central Serengeti Afternoon Drive
We return to the Seronera area and continue with an afternoon game drive. This gives first-time visitors another opportunity to experience Central Serengeti's resident wildlife after exploring the northern migration zone.

After breakfast, we leave Central Serengeti and begin travelling toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey is approximately 150–170 km and 4–5 hours of direct driving, excluding wildlife viewing, meal and comfort stops.

Serengeti Wildlife En Route
We continue through Serengeti while looking for wildlife along the route. Since the vehicle is private, our guide can make appropriate stops when there is worthwhile wildlife activity without having to follow a shared safari schedule.

Ngorongoro Highlands
We continue through the Ngorongoro highlands toward Karatu. The afternoon is intentionally kept lighter so you can rest before the final full safari experience in Ngorongoro Crater.

Early Breakfast & Crater Descent
After an early breakfast, we drive to the Ngorongoro Crater gate and descend into the crater for a morning game drive. The crater offers a concentrated wildlife experience, with opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos and large numbers of grazing animals.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
We spend several hours exploring the crater floor with your private guide. Your guide manages the route according to wildlife activity while allowing appropriate time for photography and observation.

Lunch & Ascent
After the crater game drive, we ascend and begin the drive to Arusha. The journey is approximately 190 km and 3.5–4.5 hours of direct driving, excluding lunch, comfort stops, traffic and weather-related delays.

Arrival in Arusha
We arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening, completing your 7 Days August 2027 private Tanzania safari for first-time visitors, covering Tarangire, Serengeti, Northern Serengeti Great Migration and Ngorongoro Crater.
