Morning Departure Your private driver-guide picks up your family early from your Arusha hotel. We embark on a 4.5 to 5-hour drive (approx. 260 km) through the Great Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, heading directly for the Ndutu plains. Your guide will schedule a rest stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint so the kids can stretch their legs and take photos.
Arrival in Ndutu & First Safari Drive We arrive in the Ndutu region by early afternoon. Because it is March, you will likely see massive columns of wildebeest and zebras beginning to organize and move across the short-grass plains. We enjoy a packed lunch in the vehicle before spending the afternoon tracking the herds and searching for predators shadowing the young calves.
Camp Check-In & Evening Relaxation In the late afternoon, we check into your family-friendly tented camp. The children can settle into their secure en-suite tents and experience the thrill of the African bush before the family gathers for a hot dinner and campfire stories.
